Genetic Testing

To improve the quality of genetic testing in Michigan, BCBSM created the Genetic Testing Resource and Quality Consortium (GTRQC) Pilot.

Currently, this pilot is developing software tools aimed at improving the quality of care for patients who may be at elevated risk for hereditary cancer syndromes.  One of the goals of the pilot is to determine practical uses for these tools in physicians’ offices. This could result in a in a future expansion of the project.
