Peripheral Vascular Intervention Quality Improvement Initiative
This initiative aims to
- Identify best practices in peripheral vascular interventions
- Systematically disseminate and implement these practices in hospitals across Michigan
- Increase utilization of recommended medical therapy that has been demonstrated to decrease future risk of cardiovascular morbidity and mortality in this population of patients
Early results have shown a 7.5 percent decrease in post-PVI blood transfusions, and a significant improvement in the use of recommended medical therapies.
